On January 4, 5, and 6, 2023, the Office of General Education, School of Liberal Arts, King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology Thonburi hosted a workshop entitled \u201cOutcome-based Education (OBEM) for General Education courses\u201d in room SoLA901 of the School of Liberal Arts. This workshop is part of the professional development plan for teachers and is held twice per semester. It seeks to strengthen General Education teachers\u2019 knowledge of formative assessment and consultation as well as their ability to design curriculum according to OBEM principles through hands-on experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop participants included teachers, facilitators, and education developers in a total of 120 participants who were separated into 5 groups at different times, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chanen Munkong, Associate Dean for Learning Development and Mr. Surapon Tharnromdee were workshop speakers. The workshop\u2019s topics were as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Learning about OBEM, a \u201cFlow in Learning\u201d practice<\/li>
  2. Reflection on \u201cFlow in Learning\u201d and its application to a five-week lesson plan<\/li>
  3. Demonstration of classroom module introduction<\/li>
  4. Evaluating students based on OBEM<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The last parts of the training consisted of a recap of the workshop, a reflection on the workshop, a practice on evaluating student work, and a Q & A session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
