On Monday, February 27, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Office of General Education, School of Liberal Arts collaborated with the Office of Strategic Communication and Marketing to organize a Thai Boxing Project aimed at promoting health and preserving Thai arts and culture. The event took place on the first floor of the School of Liberal Arts and drew the attention of 54 students and staff.
Mr. Wiboon Phuangpool, a renowned expert in the art of Muay Thai, was invited to deliver a lecture and demonstration on this martial art form that has been an integral part of Thai culture for generations and has gained international recognition.
The event featured a lesson on hand-wrapping techniques for Thai boxers, a demonstration of various Muay Thai postures, punches, kicks, knees, and elbow moves, presented in an engaging and informative way. The primary objective of the project was to motivate students and staff to engage in physical exercise for better health.
