Dr. Ittisak Jirapornwaree  and Dr. Papamanchu Seeprasert, lecturers in the Environmental Social Sciences program at the School of Liberal Arts, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, jointly organized a workshop aimed at enhancing the professional qualifications of Level 6 train station masters. The workshop focused on the theme of “Integrating Sustainable Development and Circular Economy Concepts within the New Economic Model (BCG Model) for Railway Station Management.” This event took place on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Railway Training Institute, State Railway of Thailand.

The primary objective of this workshop was to empower participants with the ability to elucidate the principles of sustainable development and circular economy in alignment with the new economic model. Attendees were expected to become proficient in recognizing environmental issues (referred to as ‘Environmental Aspects’) and assessing their environmental impacts (referred to as ‘Environmental Impacts’). Additionally, they were encouraged to design projects that incorporate the concepts of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the BCG Model.
