On Saturday, September 16, 2023, the course ESS622 Community Environmental Planning and Management conducted by Dr. Surat Petchnil, lecturer of the M.A. in Environmental Social Science, School of Liberal Arts, KMUTT, and its students visited the pleasant lifestyle of the Ko Koet village, Bang Pain district, on the Chao Phraya River. This educational trip aims to help students understand planning concepts, social investment management, and natural and environmental management in order to promote the community’s local economy through ecotourism.
In addition, students learned how to use Environmental Social Science tools such as profiling timelines, surveys, and community resource databases, as well as map-making on economy, society, and the environment. The student also visited Talard Kong Khong, Chao sam Phraya National Museum, Wat Phananchoeng, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram historical sites.
