Department of Language Studies, School of Liberal Arts, arranged a workshop on “Developing Your Teachers Association” for 31 academic staff of Teaching of English Associations (TEAs) from 9 countries in East Asia including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Republic of the Philippines, Singapore, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and Thai. This workshop was oganised during 21-23 January 2019 at Room SoLA 901, School of Liberal Arts, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. In addition to this workshop, Department of Language Studies took the attendants to boat trip to explore local way of life of communities along Bang Mod Canal on 20 January 2019.
This activity of Department of Language Studies was financially supported by British Council in collaboration with A. S. Hornby Educational Trust and Thailand TESOL. It was a great opportunity for new generation of personnel of Department of Language Studies to obtain knowledge and experience in a project management. This also helped build the reputation of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and School of Liberal Arts to be widely known among international organisations.
