เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 10 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2567 ผศ.ดร.ภาสนันทน์ อัศวรักษ์ ผู้ช่วยคณบดีฝ่ายวิจัย คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี (บางมด) ร่วมกับบริษัท แอดแวนเทจ คอนซัลติ้ง จำกัดร่วมดำเนินการจัดทำ (ร่าง) แผนปฏิบัติการเสริมสร้างศักยภาพการดำเนินการด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ภายใต้กรมการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศและสิ่งแวดล้อม กระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม แผนปฏิบัติการฯ ดำเนินการตามกรอบมาตรา 6 ภายใต้กรอบอนุสัญญาสหประชาชาติว่าด้วยการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ (The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change; UNFCCC) และข้อตกลงปารีส (Paris Agreement) ณ โรงแรมพูลแมน คิงพาวเวอร์ รางน้ำ กรุงเทพมหานคร
การดำเนินการในวันดังกล่าวมีหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน สถาบันการศึกษา ภาคประชาสังคม และสื่อมวลชน จำนวน 120 คน การจัดทำ (ร่าง) แผนปฏิบัติการฯ เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการบรรลุความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอนในปี 2050 และการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ในปี 2065 ผ่านยุทธศาสตร์ระยะยาวด้านการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก (LT-LEDS) ที่สอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายที่ประเทศไทยกำหนดเอง (NDC) รวมถึงการส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจชีวภาพ หมุนเวียน และเศรษฐกิจสีเขียว (BCG)
On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, Assistant Professor Dr. Passanan Assavarak, Assistant Dean for Research, School of Liberal Arts, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi in collaboration with Advantage Consulting Co., Ltd., jointly drafted an action plan to enhance Thailand’s climate change capacity under the Department of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The action plan aligns with the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement. The event took place at the Pullman King Power Hotel, Rangnam, Bangkok.
The event was attended by 120 participants from government agencies, the private sector, academic institutions, civil society, and the media. The drafting of the action plan is part of the efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065, through Thailand’s long-term greenhouse gas emission strategy (LT-LEDS), in line with the country’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and the promotion of a bio-circular-green economy (BCG).
