Research, Measurement, and Evaluation Division of School of Liberal Arts arranged a workshop on “Corpus Tools” led by a speaker, Dr. Punjaporn Pojanapunya, a researcher from Department of Language Studies, School of Liberal Arts, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. This activity was held on Monday 3 February 2020 at Room SoLA 907, 9th Floor, School of Liberal Arts, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
The workshop allowed the personnel and the students of SoLA to test and familiarize themselves with several programs and websites used for data analysis in both English and Thai. Some of these programs and websites were AntConc, KeyBNC, LexTo, and https://www.english-corpora.org/. They were helpful to analyze dataset such as responses obtained from open-ended questions in a large number of surveys and huge data banks. This workshop were participated by 15 students from master’s and doctoral programs of SoLA.

การอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อให้บุคลากรและนักศึกษาคณะศิลปศาสตร์ได้รู้จักและทดลองใช้โปรแกรมและเว็บไซต์ที่มีประโยชน์ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาไทย เช่น AntConc, KeyBNC, LexTo และเว็บไซต์ https://www.english-corpora.org/ ซึ่งสามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในงานวิจัยที่ต้องวิเคราะห์ชุดข้อมูล เช่น คำตอบที่ได้จากข้อคำถามปลายเปิดในแบบสอบถามจำนวนมาก ๆ และคลังข้อมูลขนาดใหญ่ โดยมีบุคลากรและนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาโทและปริญญาเอกคณะศิลปศาสตร์เข้าร่วมการอบรมจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 15 คน
