คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี โดยความร่วมมือกับ English in South-East Asia (ESEA) , the Education, Languages, and Internationalisation Network (ELINET) และ EMI Resource Center, National Chengchi University, Taiwan จัดงานสัมมนาระดับนานาชาติร่วมกันในหัวข้อ “Doing Research in Applied Linguistics 5 (DRAL 5)” ในวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 5 ถึงวันเสาร์ 7 กันยายน 2567 ที่ผ่านมา ณ โรงแรม จัสมิน ซิตี้ กรุงเทพฯ โดย ผศ.ดร.ณัตจิรี จาตุรพิทักษ์กุล รองคณบดีฝ่ายพัฒนาสมรรถนะสากล คณะศิลปศาสตร์ และประธาน DRAL 5 กล่าวรายงานวัตถุประสงค์การจัดงาน ผศ.ดร.ศศิธร สุวรรณเทพ คณบดีคณะศิลปศาสตร์ กล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมสัมมนา และได้รับเกียรติจาก รศ.ดร.สุวิทย์ แซ่เตีย อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรีเป็นประธานเปิดงาน การเสวนาวิชาการครั้งนี้ได้รับเกียรติจาก Dr. Lionel Wee Hock Ann จาก The National University of Singapore Prof. Eric Friginal Hu จาก Georgia State University, USA Dr. Nicola Galloway จาก University of Glasgow, USA และ Prof. Siaw-Fong Chung จาก National Chengchi University, Taiwan ได้ให้เกียรติเป็น Keynote Speakers การจัดงานครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้บุคลากรทางการศึกษาและนักศึกษาระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา ได้เผยแพร่ผลงานวิจัยและได้แลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้การทำงานวิจัยในสาขาภาษาศาสตร์ประยุกต์ที่เกิดขึ้นในประเทศไทยและต่างประเทศ โดยมีอาจารย์ นักวิจัย และนักศึกษาทั้งในประเทศไทยและต่างประเทศเข้าร่วมงานจำนวน 97 คน
The School of Liberal Arts at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, in collaboration with English in South-East Asia (ESEA), the Education, Languages, and Internationalization Network (ELINET), and the EMI Resource Center at National Chengchi University, Taiwan, organized the international seminar “Doing Research in Applied Linguistics 5 (DRAL 5).” The event was held from Thursday, September 5th to Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at Jasmine City Hotel in Bangkok.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Natjiree Jaturapitakkul, Associate Dean for International Competency Development at the School of Liberal Arts and Chairman of DRAL 5, reported on the objectives of the event. Asst. Prof. Dr. Sasitorn Suwannathep, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, welcomed the seminar participants. The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
The seminar featured keynote speakers, including Dr. Lionel Wee Hock Ann from the National University of Singapore, Prof. Eric Friginal from Georgia State University, USA, Dr. Nicola Galloway from the University of Glasgow, UK, and Prof. Siaw-Fong Chung from National Chengchi University, Taiwan. The event aimed to provide a platform for educational professionals and graduate students to present their research findings and exchange knowledge in the field of applied linguistics, both within Thailand and internationally.
A total of 97 professors, researchers, and students from Thailand and abroad participated, making the seminar a productive gathering for sharing insights and advancements in applied linguistics research.
