เมื่อวันพุธที่ 24 เมษายน 2567 คณะศิลปศาสตร์ได้จัดเสวนาวิชาการ เนื่องในโอกาสเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 25 ปี แห่งการก่อตั้งคณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี ในหัวข้อเรื่อง “การศึกษาแบบศิลปศาสตร์: บทบาท และความท้าทายต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคมโลก (Liberal Arts Education: Roles and Challenges in the Changing World)” โดยผศ.ดร.ณัตจิรี จาตุรพิทักษ์กุล รองคณบดีฝ่ายพัฒนาสมรรถนะสากล คณะศิลปศาสตร์ กล่าวรายงานวัตถุประสงค์การจัดงาน และ ผศ.ดร.ศศิธร สุวรรณเทพ คณบดีคณะศิลปศาสตร์ กล่าวเปิดงานและดำเนินรายการเสวนา การเสวนาวิชาการครั้งนี้ ได้รับเกียรติจากผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี ได้แก่ ดร.กฤษณพงศ์ กีรติกร นายกสภามหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ที่ปรึกษามหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี รศ.ดร. คุณหญิงสุมณฑา พรหมบุญ อธิการบดีสถาบันเทคโนโลยีจิตรลดา กรรมการสภามหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี และรศ.ดร.บัณฑิต ทิพากร ที่ปรึกษาอธิการบดีด้านนวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้ มจธ. มาแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นและชี้แนะแนวทางการดำเนินงานของคณะฯ ในอนาคต การเสนาวนาวิชาการในครั้งนี้ เป็นการเริ่มต้นการจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองในโอกาสครอบรอบ 25 ปี ของการก่อตั้งคณะศิลปศาสตร โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ 1)เพื่อเผยแพร่ผลงานทางวิชาการและกิจกรรมต่างๆ ตลอดจนการบริการวิชาการที่แสดงถึงอัตลักษณ์ของคณะศิลปศาสตร์สู่ชุมชนและสังคมทั้งภายในและภายนอก มจธ. 2) เพื่อกำหนดบทบาท และแนวทางการดำเนินงานของคณะศิลปศาสตร์ในอนาคต และ3) เพื่อเชื่อมความสัมพันธ์และความเข้าใจอันดีระหว่างคณะฯ กับศิษย์เก่า ศิษย์ปัจจุบัน รวมถึงบุคลากรทั้งภายใน/ภายนอกคณะฯ ทั้งนี้ทางคณะฯจะมีการจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆตลอดทั้งปี 2567 และต่อเนื่องยาวไปจนถึงเดือนพฤศจิกายนปี 2568
The School of Liberal Arts at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi proudly commemorated its 25th anniversary on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, with an engaging academic seminar. The event, titled “Liberal Arts Education: Roles and Challenges in the Changing World,” provided a platform for insightful discussions on the evolving landscape of liberal arts education. Asst. Prof. Dr. Natjiree Chaturapitakkul, Associate Dean for Global Competence Development, shared the event’s objectives, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sasithorn Suwannathep, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, inaugurated the seminar and guided participants through thought-provoking discussions. Distinguished guests, including Dr. KritsanaphongKeeratikorn, President of the Kasetsart University Council and KMUTT Advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khunying Sumontha Phromboon, President of Chitralada Technology Institute and KMUTT Council Committee Member, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bundit Thipakorn, Advisor to the President on Learning Innovation at KMUTT, graced the occasion. Their presence added immense value to the discussions, offering valuable insights and guidance for the faculty’s future endeavors.
This event marks the beginning of a year-long celebration, during which the School of Liberal Arts aims to highlight its academic achievements and showcase its identity to the wider community. Additionally, the Faculty seeks to define its role and operational guidelines for the future, while strengthening connections with alumni, current students, and stakeholders.
